PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains tool inventories by both checking tools out and receiving tools being checked back into inventory. Maintains tools in working order by either repair, adjustments, and/or replacing, if necessary, in order to maintain a prescribed level of tools to be made available Inventories tools on a prescribed time frame and updates tool logs as necessary Uses tool inventories provided by field crews on a monthly basis to ensure the tools issued to work crews are in fact complete with the tools that were issued. Maintains the readiness of company trucks and trailers in order to provide equipment that is ready for use by employees to perform their work tasks. The tasks include cleanliness, maintenance, working lights on trailers and providing the necessary straps and chains to secure loads on trailers Performs other project related duties and assignments as instructed by supervisor. Comprehend and practice safe work procedures as outlined in GDC Safety Policy Handbook, Haz-Com Policy, and Lockout/Tagout Policy. Operate two handed tools/equipment, cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jack hammers as necessary Operate company vehicles with both manual and automatic transmission. Read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, work site directions, and written instructions. Maintains the appearance of the office spaces by mowing, weed eating, light cleaning, picking up rubbish or other items that may find their way onto the property. Maintains a current driver license in order to drive company vehicles to and back from work sites. Deliver tool trailers, material trailers or other equipment to the various job sites in support of the field crews and to return these same to the office when necessary. Must perform simple maintenance tasks as necessary on the facility, vehicles, or trailers. Maintains the shop area in a clean and organized manner Ensures all cylinders are secured properly and to maintain gas cylinder inventories at minimum levels when shop work is not being performed by field technicians |

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Licenses: Current Driver’s License, State, Education: High School Graduate, GED or equivalent is preferred. Experience: Basic mechanical/electrical skills |
